Job Description


Responsible for planning, performing, and reporting on components of varying complexity IT audits. Working on assigned audit projects within Technical Services (TS) not limited to applications, IT control processes, change control management procedures, security, networks, and computer and data center operations.  Perform assigned portions of IT audit programs, determine compliance with policies and procedures, recommend corrective action, and prepare findings.  Perform audit reviews and services in accordance with professional and department standards.




  • Performs multiple concurrent internal IT control audits including evaluating and designing programs to address planning, risk analysis, , and testing to assess Technical Services (TS) production environments for potential system integrity exposure and control weaknesses in accordance with appropriate professional and department standards.
  • Identifies various risks (e.g., security, operational, compliance) and makes recommendations to TS Management groups for corrective actions to mitigate those risks.
  • Understands and prioritizes work according to TS department time and resource constraints.
  • Monitors progress and status of multiple concurrent assigned projects to ensure completion within budgeted time-frames and report timing issues to audit management.
  • Prepares final IT audit report drafts with minimal supervision by internal audit department manager.
  • Completes department administrative reporting as assigned.
  • Participates in TS department meetings and assists with internal audit department initiatives as assigned.
  • Provides fieldwork assistance to external auditors.
  • Provides on the job and other training to less experienced audit staff, in a team environment or as assigned by the IT audit manager.
  • Must remain current with professional skills and knowledge of emerging IT trends (e.g. Cybersecurity).
  • Performs other job duties as required.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field is preferred
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred



  • 3-5 years of experience in related field is required
  • System Implementation Preferred



  • Must possess knowledge of at least one of the following areas: server/systems (Microsoft, UNIX/Linux, mainframe, AS400), application development (C++, Java, .NET), networking and telecommunications (OSI model, appliances), databases (Oracle, Teradata, IDMS, DB2, SQL Server, Big Data), web services (Internet/Intranet) or security operations (application security, vulnerability management, risk and compliance, incident management)
  • Detailed understanding of IT processes and controls is required. General knowledge of Company operations and retail industry is helpful



  • Requires excellent analytical and communications skills to learn and contribute to TS objectives, evaluate risks and plan control audits and other activities
  • Developing individual technical skills, competencies, and supporting and implementing changes to improve the audit department’s position, people and processes
  • Offering suggestions to improve the department’s processes and incorporate audit industry leading practices
  • Obtaining ongoing training and development and applying new knowledge to daily work assignments
  • Ability to travel on occasion
