Job Description

SUMMARY

Coordinate and implement move down process of on hand inventory to maximize productivity. Put away received product as required. Use a hydrogen or electric powered forklift to load and unload, move or stack materials or products.  Stack or pile materials in a safe manner at specified locations.  Supply work areas with appropriate materials as required.  Include only those who operate a forklift as an essential part of their job duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect lift and fill out vehicle inspection sheet on a daily basis prior to operation.
  • Operate the lift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Run move down report and replenish all necessary products as identified and required.
  • Put away received product in appropriate pick or reserve slot.
  • Notify on-duty Supervisor or Lead of any discrepancies found while doing put a way or replenishment.
  • At end of shift before leaving, confirm with Supervisor that no additional move downs or tasks are required to be performed.
  • Park and recharge lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.
  • Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.
  • Observe all Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training for new hires in the performance of position tasks and responsibilities.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

High diploma or equivalent.  Must be forklift and pallet jack certified.  1-3 yrs. previous experience in warehouse setting operating a forklift.  Must be able to work in a team environment and be flexible regarding tasks and schedule.
