Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:   

The Continuous Improvement Analyst position is responsible for participating in the continuous improvement initiatives of the Finance Shared Services department. The Process Improvement Team operates as a shared service resource to support the organization in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to enable optimal services to be delivered to our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:   

  • Collaborates with functional areas to develop and maintain performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets.
  • Develops and uses work aids, such as process descriptions, checklists, templates, and guides to assist personnel with implementing defined processes.
  • Conducts benchmarking, value stream mapping, activity modeling, and surveys.
  • Maintain weekly/monthly status reports to key stakeholders tracking the status of the improvement project
  • Facilitates discovery sessions, planning meetings, training sessions, and facilitates process improvement meetings.
  • Ensure Project Management risks and issues are identified and communicated in a timely fashion.
  • Support development of, refine and document Finance Shared Services department policies and practices. Develop and promote adoption within the organization of best practices.
  • Assist in problem-solving on related topics between user departments, service departments and vendors/customers.
  • Performs other job duties as required

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt preferred. 

Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years of process improvement experience.
  • System Implementation experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and Project Management experience. 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be self-driven and very motivated.
  • Must be comfortable working in an ever changing environment and working with constantly changing priorities.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and relationship skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
  • Strong teamwork ethic, positive proactive flexible attitude ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints as well as handle a number of tasks simultaneously required.
  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and related software applications
