A Day in the Life

As the Manager of our People Development team, a typical day might include the following activities:


  • Consult with business leaders and HR partners to understand current state business challenges to generate a learning needs assessment
  • Lead People Development team meeting to review project portfolio status and help remove obstacles for team members
  • Facilitate a virtual learning offering for a cross-functional and geographically dispersed cohort of leaders
  • Conduct a HiPo leadership development program cohort session, challenging our top leaders to create meaningful development plans
  • Collaborate with VP, People & Change on ways to optimize associate experience through Your Voice Our Future engagement program
  • Stay fresh on the latest social science through the People & Change Book Club and work together with teammates to apply learnings to our offerings
  • Head down to our Honest Green company store/café with a teammate to grab a latte and brainstorm ideas for that next big training program

Job Requirements

  • Desired Qualifications

    • Undergraduate 4-year degree in business or related area of study
    • 5+ years in Talent, L&D, OD or other related fields
    • Experience managing and developing a small team of direct reports
    • Strong consulting and relationship management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise way
    • Experience creating comprehensive L&D programs that influence and measure behavioral change
    • Proven ability to partner and make decisions across multiple stakeholder groups
    • A desire to both think broadly and systemically and also design and execute
    • Continuing education or relevant professional certifications (MBA, CCMP, PHR/SPHR, MBTI, StrengthsFinder, DiSC, etc.) a plus
    • 10-20% estimated travel
