Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

Position is responsible for managing the site outbound auditing program, maintaining adequate staffing levels to ensure that each selector has two pallets (or totes) audited per week, and tracking these errors to identify root causes of errors and helping to establish reasonable thresholds for selector accountability.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

  • Spearhead the local auditing program at the site level, making sure that each associate has two pallets (or two repack totes) audited per week.
  • Develop and manage a team of auditors and maintain adequate staffing levels to ensure each associate is audited weekly.
  • Maintain a tracking system to capture all relevant audit data (associate/pallets audited/total cases audited/total errors in mispick, BNR, damage, other found/accuracy rate by error category/aggregate accuracy rate).
  • Analyze root causes of error and lead / facilitate cross-functional problem solving teams to drive corrective action.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness of audit program.
  • Work with national operations team to communicate results, any potential solutions to streamline the process and any barriers to accuracy at either a local or national level, and also participate in developing thresholds for subsequent accountability program for all selectors.
  • Performs other job duties as required.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Finance or related experience

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in technique and tools to improve quality controls and audits in a distribution center environment
  • 2 or more years supervisory experience
  • Experience in wholesale/distribution and consumer goods industries is a plu
  • System Implementation Preferred

 

Knowledge:             

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) with a high level of proficiency in Excel

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to understand and apply research and data analysis for decision making
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to deal with ambiguity effectively, 
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, decision-making, and planning skills
