POSITION PURPOSE 

The Store Manager is an enthusiastic leader that serves as a critical link between our associates, product and customers to ensure an optimal shopping experience.  Serves as a model for extraordinary customer service and instills this value in associates. Supports the company guiding principles through front line leadership. Supports and drives associates to execute their job duties by creating a fun, challenging and rewarding culture. Constantly scans work environment to communicate employee relation issues.  They need to possess a strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.

BASIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:   

  • Ensure that customers experience excellent conditions when visiting the store, receive a greeting from every associate with whom they come in contact, are able to find what they need and check out in a hassle-free manner.
  • Exhibit positive attitude in working with direct reports and other members of management.
  • Report to shifts when scheduled and arrive on time.
  • Be a cultural leader and work collaboratively across departments providing unsurpassed service to customers and associates.
  • Demonstrate exceptional ability to develop active, enthusiastic fellowship by inspiring others and treating all associates with fairness, dignity and respect.
  • Provide recognition of accomplishments and offer constructive coaching when necessary.
  • Issue performance reviews and corrective actions as needed.
  • Constantly interact with associates, ensure all associates understand the “big picture” and have the tools and training to be successful.
  • Maintain solid communications with the management team, all associates in the store and throughout the organization.
  • Possess a total understanding of scheduling and E-time procedures.
  • Observe and ensure compliance with company security, safety and food safety standards.
  • Assist in attaining financial objectives: sales, payroll percent gross margin, shrink and control of other expenses.
  • Assume responsibility for the overall operation of the entire store including hiring, separation, training and promotion of associates.
  • Possess complete understanding of the causes and means for resolving inventory shrink issues in the assigned departments.
  • Maintain techniques and layouts consistent with the corporate merchandising philosophy.
  • Ensure selling floor is adequately stocked and has appropriate signage and product assortment.
  • Support, comply, exemplify and ensure policies and procedures are followed and well communicated.
  • Process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
  • Have the ability and knowledge to perform job functions in all departments in order to provide support where needed.
  • Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Standing and walking 100% of the time.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, grasping and reaching.
  • Meet productivity standards established for the department
  • Ability to complete basic mathematic functions; add, subtract, multiply, divide
  • Tolerate working in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time
  • Able to handle a variety of substances associates with cleaning materials, packaging, and food products
  • Able to use hands freely; ability to use hand tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Available to work varied hours/days to assist with store operations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

     System implementation experience is preferred
